If you have .9 or later then you need tool 32 on your boot disk or else SoundSmith will bomb with an error 0046 (file not found). You also need at least 1.25 megs, preferably 1.5. I forget which version of SoundSmith first needed more memory than a stock rom 3. If you can FTP try tybalt.caltech.edu [131.215.139.100], login anonymous, cd pub/apple2, and look in the soundsmith directory. You will find tested versions of SoundSmith that I packed directly from working copies on my hard drive; if you still have problems let me know.
