Many thanks to those of you who responded with valuable info. It
will help me make an informed decision as to my next move.

By the way, this appears here and not in comp.sys.apple2 because it
is not listed among the newsgroups available at our site.  I will
try to get in touch with the sys_admin about picking it up.

And I would still like to hear from anyone about local (Chapel Hill-
RTP, NC) Apple ][e user groups (email to seals@ecsvax).
