I asked Dan Wilga about this.  Apparently, many others have suggested 
this to him as well.  He told me it would increase the cost of 
NeoDesk way over $100.

It would be nice, however, because it would free up RAM, and when you 
returned to NeoDesk, it would load real quickly.
