I'm not familiar with controller architecture, etc., and I guess I just ASSumed that if I could boot RX50's from a controller, that the controller must be functional. I determined that it wasn't recognizing the 2nd hard drive, but figured it to be cabling/interface problems. I would still be pulling my hair out if it weren't for the fact that the controller deteriorated further, to the point where I could ONLY access the floppies, and then operation was, to say the least, erratic. Score - ME: +10 gray hairs WALLET: -199 in repair costs, plus ??? in problem isolation. SERVICE COMPANY +199 for a repair that will probably cost them $25. After poking around a while, I found a company in Massachusetts that would repair my ailing RQDX3 for $200. I guess they will upgrade it to current Rev., as well. Why would DSKINT format the drive, if the operating system lock up whenever it attempted access ????????????????????? TT/MKE -- Timothy R.
