I just got my 4X replaced from HP due to a defect in my previous one and
the first thing I noticed was that during power on, instead of getting a
crisp image of the stack, menu, etc., I get the whole screen all blue
(all pixels turned on), then gradually (within 1 sec), it kind of unfreezes
from left to right resetting all the pixels and then, the usual stack/menu
appears.   The effect is kind of like turning off and on quickly on your
TV/monitor which gives you a bright screen and then fades out.

Is this normal?  Does anyone have similar effects on their calculator??
