When this thread last came up a few months ago, the complaints came from
people who, like me, bought their HP48s *before* the fall promotion started.
These are the loyal people.  Many of us sold our HP28S's and immediately
bought the new HP product.

I disagree here.  The promo should have started earlier - the same time the
calculator came on the market.
