I use xdm in the pre-XDMCP mode (displays are listet in ../xdm/xdm-config), but even that doesn't work reliable. Once I logged out but got no new login window, I changed the terminal setup to broadcast XDMCP requests. Immediately the xdm on an 80386 running MACH adopted my X terminal and opened the login window. But I want to login into my machine, not the 80386 that seems to love my terminal :-). After I put the X fonts on the 9000/835 I realised, that I was unable to NFS mount them from the X terminal. (I could NFS mount them on a Sun 3/60, so the export seems ok.) I copied the fonts onto the 3/60 and the terminal had no problems to find them there. Its very annoying to have to rely on another machine because I'm unable to make the fonts available from the HP... Any ideas ?
