I am interested in buying a Micropolis 1664 340Mb HH disk drive with
a WD1007VSE2 ESDI controller.

Does anybody know what are the characteristics of these items in terms
of tracks, heads and sectors?
Has anybody experienced any problem with that combination?
Would you suggest any other type of ESDI controller?

I will mainly run MSDOS and SCO Xenix/Unix.
