It's an aluminum chassis holding a MiniScribe model 8438 hard drive and a 4"x5" drive controller card with a couple of Western Digital chips on it (and other stuff). The whole thing fits in one 8-bit PC slot, although you can't have full-length cards in the next two slots because of the drive's bulk. Neither he nor I have gotten it to work.
