Some of us are still out here. "how do I get the ethernet port on the CP board (control processor?) in the second `tower' to wake up?" You can't. The XD88/30 is really a computer and a graphics terminal glued together with a bus-speed communication channel. The computer can't get to the terminal's ports (those on the CP board), and the terminal can't use the computer's ports (those on the CE and IO boards). "Failing that, how else might one get a second ethernet on an XD88? Buy another IO processor board?" Yep. But I don't know if we released the software that would let the computer use more than on ethernet port. If you need to know, send me E-mail and I'll root around. -=- Andrew Klossner (uunet!tektronix!frip.WV.TEK!andrew) [UUCP] (andrew%frip.wv.tek.com@relay.cs.net) [ARPA]
