from ftp, look in Sumex, but the mailserver LISTSERV@ricevm1.rice.edu is
a mirror image of sumex.

There are unix utilities there which should be readily usable on MS-DOS.

$MACARCH GET UNIX/XBIN.SHAR

and wait a few days, as little as a couple of hours depending.  If you
have BITNET access, you can get them instantly.
