I had the same problem with a IIx and 24-bit card. The solution Silicon Beach gave me over the phone was as follows: 1. Use the Monitors cdev to set my monitor to 4 grays (or colors). 2. Launch SuperPaint. 3. Open up the "Preferences..." dialog under the Options menu. 4. Hit the PREV button to cycle back to the 3rd pref screen. 5. Select the check box saying "Use only QuickDraw for screen rendering". 6. Quit the program and set your monitor back to 8 or 24 bit mode.
