It's free, it's on Sumex (in cdev), and once you've used it, you never want to see Key Caps or KeyFinder again. It works as follows: in the cdev part you specify a 'hot corner'. During typing, you can move the mouse to the hot spot, click and hold, and a window with all the characters in the current font pops up. You can then release the mouse over a character, and it gets inserted in your text. But it also shows you the key-combination that goes with that character, so you can use that if you need a specific character very often. Strangely enough, not many people seem to be aware of the existence of this time-saver (it got mentioned only once in the recent name-your-inits discussion), so I thought I'd waste some bandwidth on it. Try it, and you won't be disappointed. -- Leo Breebaart (leo @ duttnph.tudelft.nl)
