The adaptor worked fine when I set it up. The user left it powered on for 3-4 days, then the SE started complaining that the adaptor wasn't responding. Powering the thing off/on and rebooting didn't help. The adaptor was EXTREMELY hot to touch. I picked a spare off the shelf and it worked fine. Is it normal for these things to heat up like that? Could leaving it on and the heat build-up damage the adaptor? Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem? I just started using the SCSI adaptors a few weeks ago, so I'm new to their behavior/performance/reliability. Thanks in advance for any info. *************************************************************************** * Charlie McGuire | INTERNET: mcguire@math.uiowa.edu * * Systems Programmer | mcguire@cs.uiowa.edu * * Computer Science Dept. | * * The University of Iowa | PHONE: (319) 335-2730 * ***************************************************************************
