If YOUR regions warehouse doesn't have it, you get put on backorder. The main sales number does not seem to check this. They know if they have it somewhere and will say they have it. If it's not in your region, you'll get a letter saying your on backorder. I don't know if the number you called is more precise or not. I may have a few things wrong, but this has been my experience.
