I use Capture by Mainstay that will allow you to capture menus that are pulled down. But that costs money and we need share ware, correct? There are three shareware screen capture programs that I know of UTIL/SCREEN-TO-CLIP.HQX UTIL/SCREENDUMP-II.HQX UTIL/SCREENSNAP-22.HQX of which I have only used screensnap which cannot do what you want. I don't know anything about the other two. Does anyone else? I know that in the dim dark past there was a DA that would wait a given amount of time before taking a picture and would then capture pull down menus. I think that name had a camera in it. Let's look at the archives: DA/CAMERA.HQX This may be it, give it a try.
