I think you are pointing out a flaw in Apple's marketing. Setting up a small network of Macintoshes IS easy (almost trivial) and cheap, too. As a training exercise for new sales reps at Apple they are given some Macs and cables and asked to set it up. They can and do. Large enterprise wide nets are another story, but that's not the point.
