Let me illusrate my needs: 1. I have a lot of files (e.g. tech. note files) on Unix, which are BINHEX format and I want to download them. 2. The usual way is to unbinhex it to the format of macbinary, using the utilities available in info-mac, then using Zmodme protocol to transfer. 3. Since the files are not big, the throughput of Zmodem is not good. It can hardly reach 90%. If the files are too small, it can only have 70-80% of utilization. 4. What I want to do is to tar all the small files, and send them all together using binary transfer. This will ensure the throughput to be highest. But I need a program which can un-macbinary after I extract files on Mac. Is such a program existing? Any information is grateful. Jack C. Hwang
