Schick III ) Distribution: comp.sys.mac.wanted Organization: Johns Hopkins University Lines: 15 I need to know the file definitions for TIFF and EPS format mac files. I have a scanner which I am using for an Image Processing class and it allows me to save the image in one of these formats. I need to be able to get to the bits and manipulate them. I assume that both of these formats use some kind of data compression, and I need to be able to go both ways, break out the bits - manipulate them - rebuild the file. I have Pagemaker and Illustrator to print them out, (in 8 bit grey scale), and I have a Microtek scanner to get them in, I am using a Symbolics (ew, lisp yuk) Ivory-board to do the processing. The Symbolics doesn't know anything but read-byte. Thanks Frank J. Schick III frankie@aplcen.apl.jhu.edu
