Hi all.  I know this has probably been hashed through a number of times,
but I'm thinking of buying a NeXT and I'd like to confirm what I get with
it (in regards to software).  From what I've been reading here, If I get
the NeXTStation with a 105 Mb hard drive, then it doesn't come with the
C compiler and a few other things.  I've heard that I can get this software
from somebody if I have enough disk space.  The other thing I heard was that
Mathematica, Sybase, and Lisp aren't part of this deal, but that if I
get the NeXT as part of the education deal (which I will) that I can get
Mathematica.  Basically, I want to use the machine for mail, programming
(in C, but I would have liked to use Lisp as well.  Oh well, there's always
XLisp.  It shouldn't bee too hard to port.), and word processing.  I would
also like to use TeX.  I have an 80 Mb SCSI external hard drive which I
would like to add on to the system.  So my questions (in order of decreasing
importance) are:
              Will it be difficult to get most of the software that I want?
              Can I hook up my hard drive to the NeXT? (I can't see why not)
              Will 80 Megs be enough additional storage?
              Will it eventually be possible to add colour to a mono
                  NeXTStation?  (Where did that question come from?)
