I'm a non-theory person, and I'm interested in finding out about
scalable error detecting codes.  I know that the Reed-Solomon
code can correct t errors (and I guess detect 2t errors?), but
correction is not important to me.  Are there any standard codes
used for detecting multiple errors?  Any information would be
greatly appreciated.  Please reply via e-mail.
