I haven't noticed any performance degradetion. I am using ATM on 386 16MHz and 20MHz machines. My primary machine has a Video 7 VRAM which is a fairly fast video card and my other machines have VGA with Mono displays. Your milage may be different since I never run in standard or real modes and I have at *least* 2 megs on all machines. To further update my experiences, I have been having some problems printing full pages of ATM fonts on an HP Laserjet II with only 512k. And when I try to use non-resident fonts on my postscript printer which I have to print to a file and then transport over my network, I can't get it to work. If the printer is attached to the computer though it works fine. Still, I have not played with it completely enough to draw any conclusions. I have been more pleased than fustrated. -- Computer Science Center Richard Oppenheimer University of Maryland oppenhei@umd5.umd.edu (office) College Park, Maryland ,USA richard@wam.umd.edu (home) ****** My employer cares not what I think and knows not what I say. ********
