Why would you want to go to all the trouble to port the server (and it is not easy :-)) when DEC is doing it anyway? While on the subject of R4, I would like to point out that many of the R4 MIT clients now use the Toolkit and Athena widgets. I have attempted to port these to the existing DECwindows, but there are too many differences. (In particular, there are R4 routines which are absent in DEC's R3 implementation.) The set of clients which I submitted to the DECUS Library is from the R3 distribution. As soon as I can get my hands on an R4 server for VMS I will start porting the R4 clients. (Hopefully this will be the last time. With a little help from the guys at MIT, I'll try to get the changes incorporated into the MIT distribution.) Trevor
