It states that all guest who went on last years cruise have verbally agreed to go again. They are: Majel Barrett William Campbell, Denise Crosby, Robin Curtis, John DeLancie, Jimmy Doohan, Walter Koenig, Mark Lenard, Nichelle Nichols, Gene Roddenberry, Marina Sirtis, George Takei, Wil Wheaton, and Grace Lee Whitney. Confirmed are also Mike Okuda (scenic artist for NG), Richard Arnold, and writers Ann Crispin, and Jeanne Dillard, as well as David McDonnell (Starlog magazine editor), and Arne Starr (DC Comics inker). Everybody attending will receive a packet with autographs, as there will be no autographs given during the event. The evening preceeding the cruise (05/25/91) there will be a Gala dinner featuring the guests, and Mark Lenard and Walter Koenig performing their new play "The Boys of Autumn". The Cruise data: date: 05/24 - 05/31 1991 Miami to Mexico (and return) cost: depends, the cheapest rate is $695 per person in a two-people cabin on the bottom of the boat (that's where I'll be). The Gala is extra (~$120 including staying in the hotel that night). Interested folks should sign up ASAP, the cheap places on the boat fill up fast. their new address: SeaTrek, c/o Devlin Associates, 1865 Brickell Ave., Box E, Miami, FL 33129. phones: 1-800-FAN-TREK or (305)858-5147 (in Miami) 1-800-444-7447 (airfare inquiries only) I attended last year's cruise and had a blast. I can wholeheartedly recommend this event. They are also offering packages for after-cruise trips to Orlando and other places. >Convention: Creation Con >Theme: "Star Trek Salute: >Location: LA Hilton & Towers (at the airport), Los Angeles, CA >Date: June 7-9, 1991 >Cost: >Confirmed Guests: >Possible Guests: >Information Contact: (516) SHOWMAN >Misc. Information: Pre-assigned seating is being sold now! The cost is $140 for the weekend. They announced at our con in Honolulu on Oct. 13/14 that the entire TOS cast will be in attendance for this event. I believe that pre-assigned seating is already sold out (they sold 900 of those this past June at the LA con), and that even regular tickets are running low. Judging by past LA cons, this should be fun but frenzied, and forget about autographs. The dealers' room should be good for this one. If you plan to attend, order your tickets by phone ASAP (credit cards ok). If there are a number of netters attending either event, how about a get-together?
