I am not sure whether this is the right group, if not please direct me to the appropriate group. Thanks. Now the problem I am trying to solve is: Is there a general formula to obtain the volume of an ellipsoid_of_ revolution with one major axis of size 'a' and D-1 minor axes of size 2 2 sqrt(a - c ) ? I am looking for a formula in terms of 'a', 'c' and 'D'. If there is one, can anyone help me finding it. I tried to find it in some of the math tables I have, but no luck. Please reply by email. Thanks in advance.
