The resolution for text is pretty bad, 12x40 (chars) is about all you can get without your eyes falling out of your head, and even those characters are badly formed. And you suddenly notice a lot of jitter even on a good TV that you just don't notice when there's a picture there. I don't understand why anyone is even taking the claim that normal TV is adequate seriously, we've all had any number of experiences with that, it isn't.
