You might want to write: Doug Jensen, Chief Scientist and Director of
Research at Concurrent Computer Corp.  He is one of the instigators
of Alpha, a real-time OS and a former researcher at CMU.  In five
minutes he could probably tell you 10 research topics that he would
be interested in having you follow up.
