A .EXE file which is convertible to .COM by EXE2BIN will have been compiled with a common code and data segment and no stack segment. Further, such a .EXE file is not even executable WITHOUT conversion to .COM by EXE2BIN. You evidently have a bonafide executable .EXE file -- one that CANNOT be converted. YOU CAN'T CONVERT AN ARBITRARY .EXE FILE TO A .COM FILE.
