We have three Unisys 6000/70's with a combined 40GB of storage onto which we'll be distributing large databases with Informix Online. Informix wants to sell us Informix Star, telling us that this will allow us to distribute the database over several machines. Of what advantage is this over NFS (which we already own), which will enable us to do essentially the same thing? Something to do with raw partitions perhaps? Ignorant minds want to know..... thanks. | Pete Gregory, UNIX SA | pete@wvus.wciu.edu ___|___ World Vision USA/ISD | wciu!wvus!pete | 919 W.
