Summary: Comparison please Message-ID: <7199@shemesh.GBA.NYU.EDU> Date: 15 Nov 90 22:41:20 GMT References: <1990Nov1.192549.11283@Eyring.COM> <2320@excelan.COM> <1990Nov9.234218.361@npd.Novell.COM> Organization: NYU Stern School of Business Lines: 17 Portable Netware seems to have rebounded just as the LM/X is beginning to find a market. Could some representatives from each side compare and contrast LM/X and Portable Netware in terms of: - PC Services - Unix, TCP/IP, Kerberos, NFS and AFS interoperability - Performance - Availability for SPARC and MIPSco hardware Also, given that the OSF has picked LM/X as part of its DCE technology, are there any overriding reasons to go with PN instead? (I guess I should add: no flaming please). -Ittai
