I am looking for something to edit .gif files.  I am viewing them in monochrome
high-res on a cga, and a lot of the .gif files I have don't work well on that.
I want to somehow convert these to optimize the image quality on my setup.

I am using an IBM-PC, a CGA, and a b&w monitor.
