	There is a lot of PC FAX software out there that can convert
an ASCII file to a Raw or G3 bit map ready for facsimile transmission.
What is technique/algorithm for this conversion?  Just how do these
(and other) programs convert ASCII-oriented data to bit-oriented
data?
