Message-ID: <1990Nov15.193128.7428@millipore.com> Date: 15 Nov 90 19:31:28 GMT Organization: Millipore Corporation Lines: 33 I have several questions which I hope someone can answer. I have an AST/TurboLaser PS+3. It has Postscript level 47.0 installed. AST is no longer selling this product and will not be issuing any upgrades. What I want to know is what are the ramifications of having this level of Postscript? What is the current level of Postscript? Is there a list of the changes at each revision and where can I get it? What happens as time goes on and I get further behind? Is there any way that I can upgrade the ROM without AST myself? On a related note, does the second edition of the Red book cover Postscript Level two? And on an unreleated note, Does anyone have a file that can list and/or print samples of ALL the fonts resident in ALL the dictionaries? I have a program that will print samples of the resident fonts and one that will print a list of the resident fonts, but I would like to print samples of fonts that have been downloaded by other programs. For instance, the Seattle font is downloaded by the Macintosh LaserWriter driver and I would like to print a sample of it. The same goes for the fonts downloaded by my DVI2PS driver. Both of these create their own dictionaries. And on an semi-related note, does anyone know why the Mac driver downloads the Seattle font. I have never seen it used and it just takes up memory. What would happen if I removed it? -- Brian Utterback, Millipore Corporation, 75G Wiggins Ave., Bedford Ma. 01730 Work:617-275-9200x8245, Home:603-891-2536 INTERNET:: blu@millipore.millipore.com UUCP:: {samsung,cg-atla,merk,wang,bu-tyng}!millipore!blu
