I am having trouble getting smail3.1 to work on a SparcStation 1+
under SunOS 4.1.

The program compiles fine, but fails when trying to read a director
file. The error seems to be somewhere in the function
"read_standard_file()", and the error message/panic log entry is
singularly non-informative.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
