No. As a matter of fact, that seems to be the best thing to do in a situation like this. If everybody sends their replies by email it means that the newsgroup doesn't get clogged. Getting hundreds of messages in your mailbox saying "Stop that!" is a time-honored usenet tradition, and one of the methods of "popular control" that works well in an anarchy.
