Is there an old version od minix for the ibm which is free/shareware?  I'd be 
perfectly willing to shell out (tcsh) $169 for the latest version available
from PH, but I'm a strong proponent of the try-before-you-buy concept.  (My
wife would kill me if I paid for this and then never used it -- went back
to MS-DOG.)

Is this question answered in the FAQ file for this group?  If it's there I 
missed it (my apologies if this is the case.)

btw, $169 is a VERY reasonable price for an OS no matter how strong my 
loyalties to FSF are.
