I did the same now. > 2) You sample /etc/inittab had /etc/update exec instead of spawn. Because my /etc/update does a fork() by itself, as any daemon should. > 3) Do you have a different date command which excepts -h as an argument. Yes, it then reads the needed info from the CMOS device through /dev/cmos. On XT's, the time-and-date info is fetched from the RTC hardware, if present. This eliminates the need for the /etc/readclock program. > 4) What does you /etc/hupdaemon do, monitor dial in lines and check > for DCD to drop and hangs the line up. Can I get a copy of it. No, Hupdaemon is a daemon that watches login-times of users. Since I have only ONE modem line, 70 users that wish to dial in, and a number of UUCP network connections, time has to be divided fairly. So, I can compose a list of people who have restricted login times (and durations, and let Hupdaemon use it to determine if a user has to be logged out or not: MESSAGE FROM SYSTEM: LOGIN LIMIT EXCEEDED Very nice... The DCD stuff is done by the kernel now. > 5) Also, what about lpsched! I don't have it with my Minix.
