Keywords: 4DOS, 386 mode Message-ID: <240@sdrc.UUCP> Date: 9 Nov 90 15:52:06 GMT Followup-To: poster Organization: SDRC, Cincinnati Lines: 19 Here is a problem for DOS experts. I installed 4DOS 3.02 on my Northgate SL20 (386 20Mhz) according to the 4DOS documentation. Now, when I start MSwindows in /S mode, it tells me that I am running a program in real mode and aborts. When I poked around I found that machine is running in virtual 8086 mode. I am very grateful if you can tell me how to get 4DOS run in true 386 mode instead of virtual 8086 mode. I thank you very much. Sisira Jayasinghe. Sr. Technical Developement Engineer uunet!sdrc!cae19!spsisira Structural Dynamics Research Coorporation spsisira@sdrc.UUCP 2000 Eastman Dr. Milford OH 45150
