The problem probably lies in the settings of the IRQ lines for Com3 and Com4 
in Telix.  PS/2's have different IRQ lines than most (Everex stantard) are 
set up for.  The IRQ line for the PS/2 should be:
Com3 base 3220 IRQ 3
Com4 base 3228 IRQ 4
That should work.  (I believe you tried 3220/4 oops...)
