Talking about BIND 4.8.3...

I haven't seen much discussion about this release since Dave Curry sent an
article about 4.8.3 and SunOS 4.1 to sun-nets in early September.  I also
recall reading somewhere that BIND 4.8.2 wasn't actually official yet:-)
Can anyone tell me what's the official release?  What's the opinion about
BIND4.8.3?  What enhancements does it have over 4.8.2?
