After staring at the code for a whole day:

  Has anybody successfully compiled sendmail 5.65 under 
  Concentrix 5.5.* ?

  It works with the the .cf configuration file, but dumps core in
  _malloc when reading the configuration freeze file.

(Oh, btw: How do *you* work around Alliant's mess with the dbm-library?
          I use fxc to compile and cc to link, but don't know why this
          works .. - p.)
