Not that I'd recommend -> it, but... I have a Palomax Hard Drive Interface for the A500 that I had hooked up to my A1000. It was not 'flipped' but merely turned front to back. In the case of the A590 then, it would still be right side up - but the front panel would be facing the back if hooked to an A1000.
