Speaking with a Commodore Representative regarding purchase plans, he stated that Commodore still considers the 2500/30 to be their "flagship" model, until an A3000 architecture machine is developed with more expansion slots. I assume the 18Mb expansion you mention would be on-board, with actual addressable space being the same as on the A3000 (ie: a LOT). It does sound like an idea platform for future UNIX applications, though. So far, all the specs sounds pretty "standard", with the notable exception of the 50Mhz clock speed.
