Message-ID: <26661.273bf45e@kuhub.cc.ukans.edu> Date: 10 Nov 90 17:36:46 GMT Organization: University of Kansas Academic Computing Services Lines: 21 I just purchased Full Metal Planet yesterday and I just thought I might warn you all about it. Don't be mislead by this statement on the back of the box: Off disk copy protection Manual required. Now this would make you think its HD installable right? Wrong. The game is protected with both disk and manual protection. Talk about overkill. The bootblock has some sort of special loader which makes AmigaDos choke on its usual CheckSum 880 error. To top it off, it has instructions for IBM users on how to install it on THEIR harddrives! What a bunch of hippocrites. What do they think? Amiga users don't own harddrives or don't put anything on them? The game is good, I don't begrudge them that. Just makes me mad that they make it HD installable on one platform and not the other.
