I still think, that Emerald Mine is a great game. I even bought both of them, Emerald Mine I & II, because I thought, that good software is worth to be paid for. But one thing is really bugging me. As a serious user I really hate to work on originals, but Kingsoft uses a copy protection I cannot overcome. Since they scratch around on the disk like hell during boot, I fear the moment everything crashes and I don't have a backup. Anybody out there, that can give me the right hint, how they made the copy protection and/or how to get a backup. (It's really frustrating, there you go and buy software and they don't give you the chance working on backups; shouldn't I better use easy to copy cracked and stolen games ???)
