I really need access to my other two partition from P8. > System disk 5.0.3 comes with a new version of P8, version 1.9. SCSI.Part was for P8 version 1.8. The installer replaced all your P8 1.8 with P8 1.9. I don't know if there were any changes to Start.GS.OS. I realized about 75% of the way through installing 5.0.3 that I was going to lose SCSI.Part. I tried to install SCSI.Part on P8 1.9, but it crashes horribly when I try to run any P8 programs. Apparently, the location in P8 where it used to patch into has been changed in the recent version. I believe it patched itself onto the end of P8. I do know that P8 1.9 is bigger than P8 1.8, so that's probably the problem. SCSI.Part is probably installing over part of P8 or something like that. The patch to Start.GS.OS was so that it would ignore the new size of P8 with SCSI.Part installed. (Apparently as a way to insure that a compatible version of P8 was being used (at least a non-patched/virus free one), Start.GS.OS checked the size of P8 against a constant value. If it was larger than that, it would report an error. I think all version of P8 prior to P8 1.9 were always the same size.) Anyway, tonight I'm going to play around and see if Start.GS.OS has changed between 5.0.2 and 5.0.3, and also see if I can put P8 1.8 back on my system 5.0.3 drive and get SCSI.Part back. I'll report my findings.
