Because they had to go through all kinds of legal jazz to get the Mac system there in the first place, and it's taking even longer to do the same for the GS system. Apple plans to move all it's anonymous FTP stuff to another machine, which will have ALL of Apple's officially released software and developers' notes available for both product lines.
