For example. Zany Golf is an 8-bit program but it most certainly is not a piece of '//e' software. I admit that I spend about equal times in ProDOS 8 as in GS/OS (90% of my ProDOS 8 time is telecommunications). But I know that there are many pieces of software that I could not do without. Thus, I will NEVER go back to a '//e' machine.
