I recently upgraded mine from .5M to 2M. I used Hitachi 1Mx1's (HM511000AP12) @ 120ns for $6 apiece from Microprocessors Unlimited Corp. Without any documentation, I accidently installed the chips in the sockets where the 256Kx1's were (well, they fit! :-). Actually, they go in the other bank of sockets; the near bank as you look at the board from the front of your ST. The sockets in that bank have exactly the right number of holes. The easiest way to do the installation is: remove the PCB from it's connectors, destall the old RAM, install the new RAM, and reinstall the board on it's connectors. There is no need to change anything about your ST or RAM board to do this upgrade (except the RAM :-). Have fun with 2.5M! I do. PS If you want the phone number of Microprocessors Unlimited I have it. The prices may have gone down since I bought my RAM. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ric Yeates Microware Systems Corp.
