Its really easy, if you pop it open, you will see a set of holes in the board, where the other chips would go if the unit was a true 512K REU. All you gotta do is buy some of those DRAM chips (cheep now) and pop them in, solder them down, and cut one jumpper on the board, and that will do it! You have it easy, I had the 1700 (128K unit) which needed all 16 chips pulled and replaced with 256K DRAMS. Ack! what a pain that was! ctfm
